The first step is to file a demand with the Alabama Department of Public Safety for an administrative review of the notice of intended suspension. This needs to be done within 10 days from the date of your arrest.
Secondly, an administrative hearing may be held. We have the authority to subpoena the arresting officer to testify at this hearing.
Lastly, we have the right to judicial review. A hearing can be had at this juncture as well.
